For the interior page design, I completed the head by adding the side that does not have an implant. The content flowed in-between the illustration to help emphasize the internal and cerebral nature of the device. The transmitter ran down the side of the page to show that it's an external device worn like a beeper.
This page featured the stories of two families, one that chose to have the surgery and one that did not. The text was split into two columns to separate the opposing decisions of both families. Video clips of the interviews were interpreted in sign language, so as to not alienate any of our hearing impaired users.
