News stories were enriched by the addition of photos, maps, audio/video clips, and other supporting material. The goal was to add context and extra information to every story, whether it be a wire story or an original piece.
If a photo was not available to compliment a story, designers would create treatments to help break up lengthy text and draw in the reader.
These are samples of treatments I made for daily news production. I used a variety of techniques, like photo montage, conceptual illustration, and hand-rendering.
